Community groups can now access a second round of Campbelltown Cares Grants of up to $2000 for essential emergency support, community connections and resilience programs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Council is committed to building strong and resilient communities within the Campbelltown Local Government Area (LGA) and to maximizing social wellbeing for all residents. One way of achieving these goals is to provide financial assistance in the form of grants, sponsorships and donations to individuals and groups to develop leadership skills, increase participation in community life and address identified social issues.
Funding Information
- Campbelltown City Council Cares Grants of up to $2000 are available.
Priorities
Key funding priorities include programs that address:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders community wellbeing;
- Addressing social isolation issues with the community (Seniors, CALD and people with disability);
- Domestic violence;
- Food security;
- Homelessness;
- Refugee, migrants and asylum seekers;
- Targeted activities reducing issues related to youth isolation and disengagement.
Projects and Programs
Projects/programs eligible for grants must;
- Exclusively serve communities within the Campbelltown Local Government Area (LGA);
- Have no alternate funding sources available (i.e. would not proceed or expand without the grant);
- Can commence within 2-4 weeks of receiving funding.
Eligibility Criteria
Organization
Organizations eligible for grants must be;
- Incorporated not-for profit or community organizations, or
- Auspiced by an incorporated not-for profit or community organization.
Selection Criteria
Selection criteria which will be considered where excess applications are received:
- Demonstrates how they will address social isolation.
- Addresses community stressors due to COVID-19 if not dealt with immediately.
- Where relevant, collaborates with other groups and/ or services.
- Demonstrates how many people will benefit from the project.
