The National Secretariat of Science and Technology (Senacyt) is inviting applications for its ComunicaCTi Program, which aims to fund science, innovation, and technology outreach activities aligned with Guatemala’s National Plan for Scientific and Technological Development. Funding Details
Through the DifundeCTi support line, Senacyt provides financial support of up to Q125,000 per project for activities such as:

Counterpart contributions are the responsibility of the beneficiary and may include:

Financial or in-kind support

Infrastructure, laboratories, equipment, machinery

Human resources required for project execution
Preference is given to proposals that are well-structured, aligned with national priorities, and demonstrate high potential to contribute to Guatemala’s socio-economic development.
Eligible Applicants
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Be registered in the National Directory of Researchers (DNI)

Have endorsement from an institution listed in the National Directory of Entities (DNE)

Comply with previous reporting obligations, if applicable

Submit all required forms and documents through the Senacyt online platform
Eligible and Ineligible Expenses
Eligible expenses include:

Logistics services, training, transport, accommodation, food
-
Imprints, advertising materials, audiovisual equipment rental
-
Production of audiovisual or printed materials
Ineligible expenses include:

Fees for event coordinators, purchase of capital assets
-
Travel expenses, daily wages, fuels, and similar costs
A bond of 1–10% of the total allocated funding may be required depending on the activity.
Application Deadline
Applications must be submitted via the Senacyt website by March 13, 2026, 11:59 PM Guatemala time. No extensions will be granted.
