The British Embassy in Zagreb is inviting applications for activity proposals for its climate fund for the 2020/2021 financial year.
Thematic Areas
This year, the British Embassy has introduced a Climate Fund to support activities in Croatia that focus on the following thematic areas:
- Supporting efforts to raise public awareness about climate change and its socio-economic impact;
- Supporting activities that foster solutions for green recovery post-COVID-19, particularly nature based-solutions to climate change and zero-emissions transport.
Funding Information
- Maximum activity budget limit: GBP 10,000.
Criteria
Activity bids will be assessed against the following criteria:
- Alignment with the above-mentioned thematic priorities and outcomes;
- Outcomes that are achievable within the funding period;
- Activity design that includes clear evaluation procedures;
- Activity design that includes risk and financial accountability procedures;
- The organization’s safeguarding policies ensure the protection of beneficiaries;
- Overall value for money.
Bidding Process
- Proposals must be submitted using the relevant bidding form and activity-based budget template;
- All proposals must be received by midnight on 16 November 2020. Late proposals will not be considered;
- Proposals must be submitted to the email address provided on their website;
- Successful bidders will be notified by 23 November 2020.
Additional Information and Documentation
- All implementers will be expected to sign a standard FCDO contract or grant agreement with the Embassy. The terms of the contract or agreement are not negotiable.
- All projects are expected to have achieved 85% spend by end of January 2020. Proposed budgets must reflect this requirement.
- In view of the current epidemiological situation, all events/activities will have to adhere to Croatia’s National Civil Protection Directorate guidelines in force at the time the events/activities take place.
