The project “Support to economic development at the local level in the Republic of Belarus” announces the 2nd competition of initiatives for the development of entrepreneurship in 12 regions of Belarus.
The project “Supporting Economic Development at Local Level in the Republic of Belarus” is funded by the European Union and implemented by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus.
The goal of the Project is to support economic initiative, competitiveness and innovations for inclusive development at the local level in the Republic of Belarus.
The purpose of the Competition is to support initiatives aimed at developing entrepreneurial activity and contributing to the achievement of the goals and objectives of the district plans for the development of SMEs (RPD SME) 3 and the objectives of the Project.
Pilot areas of the Project:
- Berezovsky and Kobrin districts of the Brest region;
- Braslav and Orsha districts of the Vitebsk region;
- Bragin, Zhlobin and Khoiniki districts of the Gomel region;
- Lida district, Grodno region;
- Borisov and Molodechno districts of the Minsk region;
- Bykhovsky and Klichevsky districts of the Mogilev region.
The competition is held in two thematic areas (Lots), presented in table:
- Lot 1: Cluster initiatives: In accordance with the objectives of the Competition and the Project for participation in Lot 1 “Cluster Initiatives” applications can be submitted aimed at supporting, creating and developing cluster initiatives operating in the pilot area of the Project, with possible the inclusion of adjacent territories.
- Lot 2: Socially significant initiatives: In accordance with the purpose of the Competition and the Project for participation in Lot 2, Applications for supporting initiatives that contribute to the achievement of the objectives outlined in the SMEs RuDG, aimed at solving any social problem, developing inclusion, expanding support for socially vulnerable groups in the pilot areas of the project.
Funding Information
- Lot 1: Cluster initiatives: Up to 60 thousand US dollars
- Lot 2: Socially significant initiatives: Up to 40 thousand US dollars
- Implementation period No more than 8 months
Eligibility Criteria
Non-profit non-governmental organizations that are separate legal entities and having one of the following organizational and legal forms:
- association of legal entities and (or) individual entrepreneurs (associations and unions);
- consumer cooperative;
- public association;
- fund;
- institution;
- trade union.
