Deadline: 15-Feb-21
Quad Cities Community Foundation is seeking applications for the Teens for Tomorrow (T4T) Grant Program which is a youth philanthropy group made up of high school students from Rock Island County in Illinois and Scott County in Iowa.
These young leaders become philanthropists by learning about community needs, developing a grant opportunity, evaluating applications, making site visits, and awarding grants.
Funding Information
- Maximum awarded per application: no maximum; grants have typically ranged up to $2,500.
- Each year, T4T awards a total of $10,000 to nonprofits meeting a variety of needs in the Quad City Area.
Eligibility Criteria
Teens for Tomorrow grants will support nonprofit organizations to carry out programs or projects that benefit Rock Island County, Illinois, and/or Scott County, Iowa. Eligible 501(c) 3 nonprofit organizations:
- Are located in and serving residents of Rock Island County, Illinois and/or Scott County, Iowa.
- Grant applications addresses one of the following issues in their community:
- Education Equity: Nonprofits directly supporting students with resources to succeed in a well-rounded education. Programs with a focus on those who face inequalities due to financial or racial disparities will be given priority for funding.
- Racial Injustice: Nonprofits providing awareness of racial injustice, and providing opportunities to Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color.

Application Process
- Applications are submitted via their online grant system.
- T4T members will contact each applicant to schedule a site visit in late February or March. Site visits will consist of 3-5 Teens for Tomorrow members visiting the organization for no more than one hour. They know your time is valuable and they appreciate your staff or volunteers helping them to understand your application by providing a tour and answering the members’ questions about your program or project. Given ongoing public health measures due to the pandemic, it is expected that 2021 site visits will take place virtually.
Evaluation Criteria
- Credibility: The organization shows a history of success as defined by the people and communities they serve. This might be shown by outcomes, demonstrating how people served evaluate and shape services, or by feedback and testimonials from people served.
- Clarity: The application shows how the organization’s plan and timeline will be carried out and how it will make a difference in one of the T4T grant focus areas.
- Impact of T4T Grant: A T4T grant will make a difference to the success of the effort.
