The Westmeath County Council is currently accepting nominations for the 2021 Community Project of the Year Award to encourage and assist a community group to undertake a significant project in their community.
The grant will be awarded to a group, or groups, who demonstrate the significant impact or benefit the project will contribute to their community.
Award Information
- The €10,000 award may be subdivided among up to three projects in accordance with the merits of applications received.
Criteria
- Groups/Organisations can only apply for one project; multiple applicants will not be accepted.
- Decisions will be weighed in favor of those projects that provide details of their project including aims and objectives.
- The Award Evaluation Committee’s decision will be final.
- The benefit of the project to the local community will be assessed.
- Groups applying must be affiliated to Westmeath Public Participation Network.
- Specific conditions may be attached to the grant award.
- Recipients will be asked for a report on the completion of the projects.
- A tax Number or Charity Number is required for all grants.
- All funded projects/activities must be located within County Westmeath.
- Salary costs are ineligible for funding.
- If successful, it is a requirement of all grant funding that Westmeath County Council is acknowledged as a source of funding in any publications, leaflets, signage, online, etc, or minuted in treasurers report, committee meeting or AGM.
