The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a public call for grants within the second phase of the Via Dinarica project Improvement of Tourist Offer and Services Along the via Dinarica Tracks in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The public call for applications aims to further improve the offer and keep tourists for a longer period, contributing to the reputation of Via Dinarica as a regional tourist destination by improving and expanding tourist accommodation and increasing the diversity of tourist services and products (cultural, historical, sports, recreation and adventure tourism, etc.) along the white, green and blue trails in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In a broader sense, this grant scheme will contribute to the recovery from the effects of the Covid -19 pandemic and to the strengthening of the entire tourism sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Priority Areas
- Priority Area 1: Improving the conditions and expanding the capacity of tourist accommodation facilities along the Via Dinarica trail in rural areas within the above-mentioned local self-government units.
- Priority Area 2: Improving the existence and increasing the diversity of tourist services in the field of nature tourism (cultural, historical, sports-recreational and adventure tourism, etc.) along the Via Dinarica trail within the mentioned local self-government units.
Funding Information
- The total available financial resources within this public call amount to 238,000.00 KM, whereby, based on the competitive process, the implementation of at least 14 best ranked project proposals will be submitted, more precisely two in the following partner units of local self-government (RS): Gacko, Jablanica, Rudo, Sokolac and Teslie, one each (1) in Bosanski Petrovac, Mrkonfit Grad, Posugi and Prozor-Rama.
- Grants per application can amount from a minimum of 13,000 KM to a maximum of 17,000 KM.
- Applicants eligible to apply for this call for Priority Area 1 are:
- Private enterprises and crafts registered for accommodation services;
- Physical persons registered for the provision of accommodation services in the competent service of the local self-government or the Agency for Intermediaries, Information and Financial Services (APIF) such as tourism service providers, family farms (OPG), rural households of the accommodation type and the like;
- Associations, organizations, clubs and mountaineering associations that manage mountaineering facilities (mountaineering huts, mountain lodges, shelters and the like);
- Jayne institutions that manage protected areas and accommodation facilities within them.
- Applicants entitled to apply for this call under Priority Area 2 are:
- Private companies and crafts registered active in the field of tourism (tour operators, travel agencies, accommodation and catering facilities, etc.);
- Natural persons registered with the competent service of the local self-government or the Agency for Intermediaries, Information and Financial Services (APIF) such as tourism service providers, family farms (OPG), rural agricultural holdings and the like;
- Associations, organizations, clubs and sports associations active in the field of tourism;
- Jayne institutions that manage protected areas of nature.
