Submit Proposals for Sophie and Karl Binding Foundation’s Grant Program in Switzerland

The Sophie and Karl Binding Foundation is inviting proposals for its grant program to support projects in the Environment, Social Works and Culture sections throughout Switzerland.

The Foundation has set itself the goal of encouraging and consolidating cohesion and social balance in Switzerland as well as promoting integration and understanding between the different linguistic regions.

In addition, it participates in the maintenance and development of the main natural, cultural and spiritual assets and values ??that contribute to the identity of Switzerland.

Incentive Areas

Environment: In terms of promoting the environment, the Binding Foundation supports projects aimed at encouraging biodiversity and enhancing high-quality landscape spaces.
Social Works: In the Social Works section they focus on the Youth Integration and Cohesion operational sectors. They support individual projects in the area of ??incentive Prevention of addictions and violence.
- Youth Integration: The Foundation makes a contribution to contain youth unemployment and integrate people with a migration background into the process of education, training and the world of work from an early age.
- Cohesion: The Binding Foundation aims to strengthen social cohesion, encouraging the coexistence of people and generations regardless of their origin and linguistic knowledge. In particular, it focuses on the exchange between language regions in Switzerland.
Culture: In promoting culture, the Binding Foundation strives to ensure the lasting conservation of architectural monuments. It also sponsors high-level artistic activity carried out on a professional basis in selected sectors of music, dance and visual arts.

Please check if your application falls into one of the operational areas Protection of biodiversity and landscape action, Youth integration, Cohesion or Cultural heritage. Furthermore, please note that support is not possible under the conditions set out below.

- Research and publications without concrete application potential

- Exhibitions (except as part of the promotion program Binding Sélection d’Artistes)

- Fundraising organizations (i.e. large organizations of public utility that every year invite a wide circle of people to participate in fundraising)
