Enabel is inviting proposals to Support for the formalization, structuring and growth of micro-enterprises women from the Hospitality & Tourism, Sustainable Cities and Digital clusters for inclusive and sustainable growth.
The general objective of this call for proposals is to raise awareness and structure 150 female micro-enterprises, among which 30 will be selected according to their potential growth and innovation to benefit from tailor-made support.
Specific objectives
- Raising awareness, structuring and improving the performance of the 150 micro-businesses run by women;
- Tailor-made support for the growth of 30 companies with high potential including access to finance, market access and innovation services;
- The development of tools and approaches adapted to the promotion of entrepreneurship women for support structures / accompaniment to female entrepreneurship in Guinea (APIP and other incubators).
Sectors
This program, which should make it possible to give priority support to women entrepreneurs from Hospitality & Tourism, Digital and Sustainable Cities clusters, targeting in particular micro companies operating in the following business sectors:
- culinary art;
- agro-food;
- fashion / design, decoration / painting, dyeing;
- personal services (hairdressing, aesthetics, etc.);
- digital (marketing, communication, e-commerce, etc.)
- events;
- the building;
- and waste collection / recovery.
Funding Information
- The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is 190,000 EURO. The contracting authority reserves the right not to award all funds available. Any request for a grant under this call for proposals must be between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
- Minimum amount: 150,000 EUR
- Maximum amount: 190,000 EUR
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for grants, the applicant must meet the following conditions:
- Be a legal person;
- Be a public actor 5 or be a private non-profit actor or a foundation; or
- Be a legal person governed by private law whose profit maximization does not constitute the priority objective;
- Be a specific type of organization such as: non-governmental organization, public sector operator, local authority, international organization (intergovernmental) etc.
- Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the (s) co-applicant (s) and not act as an intermediary;
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in structuring and supporting businesses run by women;
- Have a network of professionals (experts / specialists / business coach) in connection with this mission, preferably networks specific to the development of female entrepreneurship;
- Have experience on the issues of private sector development and strengthening sector competitiveness would be an asset;
- Knowledge of business financing issues would be an asset;
- Have knowledge of the Guinean or sub-regional context.
- When a partnership with a co-applicant (s) is mandatory, specify the requirements possible minimums relating to the type and / or the recommended minimum / maximum number of co-applicants to be associated with the action.
- The co-applicant (s) participate in the definition and implementation of the action, and the costs that (s) incurred are eligible in the same way as those incurred by the applicant.
- The co-applicant (s) must meet the admissibility criteria that apply to the applicant himself.
