The Salina Arts and Humanities Foundation (SAHF) is currently seeking applications for the Organizational Project Grants Program.
The Salina Arts and Humanities Foundation (SAHF), exists to support and develop public awareness and interest in the arts and humanities in Salina Kansas; and to be a supporting organization to the City of Salina; its Arts and Humanities Department and Commission as a separate and independent, but closely related supporting organization.
SAHF, a 501c3, was organized in 1989 as a not-for-profit corporation to support Salina Arts & Humanities programs. In an effort to clarify the role of the foundation and the commission, a new corporation and board was established in 2009 on a recommendation from the Salina Arts & Humanities Commission.
Funding Information
- Applicant organizations may apply for up to $6,000.
Outcomes
- Demonstrate a commitment to artistic excellence and community involvement;
- Support innovative projects that engage patrons and audience members as active participants;
- Encourage the development of strategic partnerships within the community to strengthen the reach of their activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Any nonprofit organization or local governmental unit in Saline County may apply.
- Nonprofit organizations must be incorporated and be recognized as tax-exempt by the Internal Revenue Service.
- All applicants must agree to abide by federal and state laws regarding civil rights, access for people with disabilities, and other non-discriminatory provisions.
