The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria through the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan announces a procedure for acceptance and selection of project proposals to be implemented with grants within the official development assistance of the Republic of Bulgaria with initial implementation period in 2022.
- Building mechanisms and creating conditions for sustainable employment of young people in economic and social life in Jordan;
- Empowerment of women by providing training and providing sustainable employment. Help and support for vulnerable groups of women and girls;
- Improving the quality of education in educational institutions on the territory of the country by improving the building stock and the adjacent infrastructure through repairs and installation of new installations, repair of indoor premises, etc.
- Providing materials for the social and sanitary life of women, girls, disadvantaged children in order to overcome the negative socio-economic consequences of COVID-19.
Priority Areas
The priority areas and directions for implementation of projects on the territory of Jordan are:
- Providing quality and inclusive education;
- Sustainable economic development and support for sustainable employment;
- Overcoming the negative socio-economic consequences of COVID-19 (including through Team Europe).
Funding Information
- The minimum allowable value of a project is BGN 5,000.
- The recommended maximum value of a project is:
- For projects whose main purpose is the supply of goods and / or provision of services – up to BGN 30,000;
- For projects whose main purpose is to carry out repair and / or construction activities – up to BGN 30,000 .
- The co-financing of project activities provided by the applicant will be considered as an advantage in the evaluation, selection and approval of projects.
- Project proposals must contain an indicative initial deadline for project implementation after 1 March 2022 and no later than 30 November 2022.
- The implementation of the project must be completed no later than December 31, 2024.

- Establishing the good name and international prestige of the Republic of Bulgaria, expanding the opportunities for exchange of expertise between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the context of the excellent relations of fruitful cooperation;
- Improving socio-economic development.
- Creating a good school infrastructure and improving the quality of the educational system.
- Adoption and application of good practices and European standards in the field of women’s empowerment and modernization of education.
- Acquisition of skills that provide sustainable employment and reduce poverty and increase prosperity.
- Improving the quality of health services and combating the consequences of the pandemic;
- Deepening the interaction between the institutions at central, regional and local level.
Target Groups
- Young people, temporarily without employment;
- Women and disadvantaged children;
- Socially weak groups;
- Local population in towns and villages;
- Educational institutions – schools;
- Non-governmental organizations contributing to the realization of the priorities and the achievement of the goals of the Bulgarian “Official Development Assistance”.

- Primary and secondary budget managers – legal entities of Jordan;
- International and local non-governmental organizations;
- Municipalities and their associations;
- Educational, health and social institutions;
- International humanitarian organizations.
