Two Ridings Community Foundation is seeking applications for its grant program to provide a sustainable source of funding to which local Harrogate district charitable or community organisations can apply to get funding to support projects & activities that benefit local communities & residents for the long term.
THE LOCAL FUND for the Harrogate District has been established as a result of a three-way partnership between Harrogate Borough Council, Harrogate & District Community Action and Two Ridings Community Foundation.
Priority will be given to applicants that can clearly demonstrate how they are working to address the following priorities identified in the Two Ridings Community Foundation’s Vital Signs report for the Harrogate District.
- Inequality & hidden poverty
- Loneliness & social isolation
- Health & wellbeing
THE LOCAL FUND is keen to support community inspired and led projects, activities and events which help to demonstrate how a small investment can help to make a big difference to the local community.
Funding Information
- In 2021 grants will be available of between £200 and £3,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Grants from THE LOCAL FUND for the Harrogate District are targeted at small voluntary and community groups, small charities and other types of not-for-profit organisation with charitable aims where a small amount of money can make a significant difference. Applicants must be based in and/or working in the area served by Harrogate Borough Council.
- They expect the size of the applicant organisation to be appropriate to the size of the grant requested and as a general guide they consider a small organisation to be those with a total annual income of under £500k per annum (this includes all income regardless of the source or purpose).
