The Waccamaw Community Foundation has launched its program to help create vibrant communities by uniting people and investing resources. The Waccamaw Community Trust Fund supports a wide range of causes that share one common purpose: to improve the lives of individuals and families living in Horry and Georgetown counties.
They make charitable giving simple and effective by offering individuals creative ways to establish and manage funds that will positively impact the Waccamaw Region for generations to come. They also offer advice about projects and organizations that match your areas of interest, helping you meet your philanthropic goals.
Funding Priorities
Funding priority is given to proposals that include one or more of the following facets:
- sensitive to an emerging need
- address existing needs in new and imaginative ways
- initiation of a promising pilot
- designed to reduce cost and increase efficiency of nonprofit organizations
- direct impact on persons with need
- plans for necessary funding to continue after the Foundation’s support has ended.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for one of their competitive grants, your organization must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be nonprofit organizations with 501(c)3 designation.
- Programs/projects must serve Horry and/or Georgetown Counties only.
- If awarded a grant, you must supply a status report for the grant at your program’s conclusion or within one year.
- Do not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, color, sexual orientation, national/ethnic origin or disability.
