The Mass Technology Leadership Council, Inc. (MassTLC) has launched a call for proposals for the 2021 MassTLC Tech Top 50!
2021 Award Categories
- Tech for Good: Social Responsibility – This category recognizes companies for giving back in areas such as environmental, social and corporate governance programs; broadband access; community impact (different from DEI). This award is looking for examples of how tech companies address the needs of today’s world.
- Best Pivot to Meet the New World – This category recognizes companies for the best pivot or transformation (ie, new business model or market, business/product line, or company restructuring). When someone in the board room said, “this isn’t working,” what happened next?
- Tech to Watch – This category recognizes companies for developing a new product in 2020 & 2021. They are seeking new, out-of-beta products and stories about how they were launched. Tell them about your technical achievements in new product launches (e.g., complex engineering and cool new tools).
- Company Culture – This category recognizes companies for their leadership in company culture, remote working¸ future of work, community investment, and workforce transformation.
- Leadership – The category recognizes CEOs for their leadership throughout this past year. They will recognize six outstanding executives who were able to not only shepherd their employees through these difficult times but emerge stronger than before. Note: This is not measuring financial and growth outcomes, but instead the resiliency of a leader.
- New Company of the Year – Did you launch a company in 2020? Tell them more! They want to call some attention to your bravery and achievements.
- Business Accomplishment – This category recognizes companies for achieving major accomplishments in 2020 & 2021. Examples include major business transactions (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, etc.) or significant business performance (e.g., doubling revenue or headcount).
- Inclusivity Impact – This category recognizes companies that have made a meaningful impact in areas including diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice. Nominees must show examples of equitable programs having a successful impact on employees.
Criteria
- MassTLC will recognize 50 companies, individuals, and innovations across 8 categories along with two special individual honorees.
- As they forge ahead into brighter days, there is no better time to take stock and celebrate all that has been accomplished in the past 12 months by the amazing companies, leaders, and teams that make up the Massachusetts tech ecosystem.
