The Lincolnshire Community Foundation is seeking proposals for the Evan Cornish Grassroots Fund to improve the wellbeing of people living in Greater Lincolnshire and to make life more comfortable, ease distress and isolation for those most in need.
Themes
- Social cohesion: Community activities; access to essential services; support for people leaving Prison and their families, women’s groups, projects that contribute to strong and cohesive communities.
- Advice and Support: Debt counselling; Citizens Advice Bureau; welfare advice services, nutrition and diet.
- Older People: Care at home, integration projects; projects tackling isolation, loneliness and dementia, volunteer costs, sitter and companionship.
- Homelesness: Interventions/support to assist vulnerable homeless people, eg accommodation, advice, food/clothing.
- Food Security: Seed swaps, community growing schemes, advice about food sovereignty and sustainability.
Funding Information
- The Foundation aims to distribute around £50,000
- Grants are for a maximum of £5,000
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible groups are:
- Voluntary or Community organisations. Not statutory agencies. Priority may be given to smaller volunteer led community groups.
- Locally run and managed. They are unlikely to fund organisations that are local branches/organisations of a larger regional or national organisation
