The Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy and Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation has announced the annual International contest “Independence of Kazakhstan and Elbasy” among print and e-media workers dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the contest is to promote the ideas and initiatives of Elbasy as the basis of Kazakhstan’s statehood, promote the country’s achievements over the years of Independence in the international space, create moral and material incentives for creative self-realidation and professional growth of print and e-media journalists, identify new promising names in the Kazakh and international journalism communities.
Goals
- the popularization of “Nazarbayev model”, the ideas and initiatives of Elbasy as the basis of Kazakhstan’s statehood;
- the information and image promotion of the country’s achievements over the years of independence in the international space;
- the creation of the moral and material incentives for creative self-realization and professional growth of employees of print and e-media;
- the identification of new promising names in the Kazakh and international journalistic communities;
- the introduction to the media circulation of materials from the archive, library and exhibition collections of the Library of Elbasy.
Categories and Prize Information
The competition is held in five categories:
- “Best TV material” (TV feature, news video, analytical review, special report, interview, commentary, documentary).
- 1st place – 1 000 000 tenge
- 2nd place – 700,000 tenge
- 3rd place – 500,000 tenge.
- “Best radio material” (radio program, radio review, radio essay, radio play, analytical review, interview).
- 1st place – 1 000 000 tenge
- 2nd place – 700,000 tenge
- 3rd place – 500,000 tenge.
- “Best article in newspapers and magazines” (article, essay, analytical review, report, interview).
- 1st place – 1 000 000 tenge
- 2nd place – 700,000 tenge
- 3rd place – 500,000 tenge.
- “Best publication in the Internet media” (informational message, essay, analytical review, interview, report, review, essay).
- 1st place – 1 000 000 tenge
- 2nd place – 700,000 tenge
- 3rd place – 500,000 tenge.
- “Best publication in foreign media” (materials published in foreign media about the initiatives of Kazakhstan and the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
- 1st place – 1 000 000 tenge
- 2nd place – 700,000 tenge
- 3rd place – 500,000 tenge.
- The contestants who won prizes will receive special badges, certificates, diplomas and money prizes.
Criteria
- Professional journalists can participate in the contest on an individual or collective basis.
- Original author’s materials in Kazakh, Russian, English and other languages that are officially published (televised or posted on the Internet) from 10 October 2020 to 10 October 2021 are accepted for participation in the contest.
- The results of the contest will be determined by the Contest Commission, which includes well-known journalists, prominent state and public figures of Kazakhstan. The award ceremony will be held on the eve of Independence Day.
