The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is pleased to announce the Training Course on effective Entrepreneurial Support Programme as a part of its multi-annual project- Promoting Entrepreneurship Development and Upscaling Innovative SMEs, to build capacity and to improve the competitiveness of ICT startups and scaleups in Iran.
As part of this project they are among others involved in mapping and analyzing the startup ecosystem of Iran, organizing training programmes for entrepreneurs and mentors in the ecosystem and establishing a virtual entrepreneurship hub where all initiatives come together.
Benefits
During the programme, participants will:
- Increase their knowledge and skills in ecosystem development, including their own organization’s position in the ecosystem and how to collaborate with other service providers;
- (Further) develop the competencies needed to apply an experiential, action-based approach to the design, implementation and facilitation of entrepreneurial support programmes;
- Draft a strategy on how to maximize the level and effectiveness of the support that their respective organizations offer to ICT entrepreneurs in Iran.
Format
- This programme is a combination of online workshops and coaching, both on a peer-to-peer level as well as on a participant-facilitator level.
- The programme consists of three afternoon sessions in which the following themes will be addressed:
- The entrepreneurship process
- Ecosystem mapping exercise
- Partnerships
- Impact measurement
- Strategy and implementation
Eligibility Criteria
UNIDO is looking for enthusiastic startup mentors, coaches, entrepreneurs and other ecosystem support organizations from all provinces who:
- Are proficient in the English language;
- Have experience with the startup ecosystem in Iran: either as an active participant in one of the ecosystem pillars (network, expertise, capital, education, support) or as a successful startup founder;
- Can demonstrate traction in the ecosystem, including a record of activities and/or interaction with other ecosystem players;
- Are mentors or who have worked with entrepreneurs before (pre);
- Are willing to invest time and efforts into the implementation of the insights
