The Australian Embassy in Lisbon invites all eligible organizations to submit applications for grants under the Direct Aid Program (PAD) 2021-2022 for Cape Verde, São Tomé and Príncipe and Guinea-Bissau.
The Direct Aid Program (PAD) is a small development support program funded by the Australian Government and managed by the diplomatic missions of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), which works directly with communities in developing countries. It focuses on supporting small-scale aid activities that deliver practical and tangible results.
PAD projects cover a range of sectors including education, health, water and sanitation, environmental protection, women’s empowerment and gender equality, support for people with disabilities, economic livelihoods, food security and human rights.
By helping people in need, Australia demonstrates that it is a supportive and trusted partner in addressing global aid challenges in partner countries, including Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau and São Tomé and Príncipe.
Funding Information
Projects can apply for funding up to a maximum amount of €15,000.
Criteria
PAD supports local community efforts to reduce poverty and involves a wide range of partners, including non-governmental organizations, community groups, educational institutions, health institutions and local governments.
