Deadline: 27-Aug-21
The Main Street Community Foundation is offering 2021 Burlington Community Fund.
The fund was established in 2011 by a group of committed community leaders in Burlington who were interested in creating an additional resource for charitable projects and programs that would enhance the lives of Burlington residents.
Grant Guidelines
- While some variation is possible because of the funds available for grant making, the main focus is in the following areas: Arts & Culture, Community Development, Education, Environment & Animal Welfare, Health, Human Services, and Youth Development.
- The Fund is looking to support nonprofits and organizations as they work to sustain and improve the delivery of services.
- Each request must include stated outcomes and criteria by which they will be evaluated.
- In general, grants are made for future, planned expenditures and not to cover operating deficits or previously incurred obligations. Salaries and operational expenses will only be considered as a part of the program or project for which funding is being requested. The Burlington Community Fund is interested in many fields of community activity and favors programs that are designed to meet the needs of the community.
- Grants for capital expenditures will be given consideration if the project is designed to directly benefit programs which meet the fund’s guidelines. The Burlington Community Fund at its sole discretion, may provide outright grants, challenge grants or grants which require matching funds.
