Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, office in Belgrade and the FES SOE regional office in Sarajevo, in cooperation with Women’s Leadership Academy (Serbia), organize a political educational program for women in social-democratic political parties and organizations from Albania, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.
The program of the seminar will include theoretical and practical aspects – interactive lectures, panel discussions, trainings and group work. Working languages will be (Ex-YU Region) Montenegrin, Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian with simultaneous translation to Macedonian and Albanian, with the notice that participants should preferably speak English during informal communication.
The Academy aims to bring Western Balkan women politicians and activists together in a broad front to fight for an equal, developed, responsible society, based on European values of peace and prosperity – a women-friendly society. Special focus will be given to practical political education with the topics:
- Gender analysis
- New feminism
- Position of women during the corona crisis
- Social democracy and gender equality
- Political campaigning and communication
- Leadership
- Gender Statistics
- Policy Development
- Public appearance
Eligibility Criteria
- Women politicians in social democratic political parties and civil society organizations, and activist´s groups, who want to contribute to building and strengthening an active, democratic, responsible and equal society on the national and regional level, coming from Albania, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.
