The Cumbria Community Foundation is seeking applications for its English Lakes Hotels Sustainability Fund to protect and promote the landscape, environment and heritage through conservation and improvement of the physical and natural environment in Windermere, Ambleside, Morecambe and Lancaster.
Priorities
Priority will be given to projects which support one of the following aims:
- support the cohesion and strengthening of these communities
Examples of projects supported:
- habitat creation and restoration
- species conservation
- repairing and maintaining the upland paths
- hedge restoration and wildflower planting schemes
Funding Information
- Grants will normally be less than £10,000 over one year but could be greater if the project benefits more people in the priority areas listed above.
Eligibility Criteria
- charitable, not-for-profit groups whose projects benefit the communities within the priority area for the fund
