Deadline: 22-Oct-21
Applications are now open for the Birmingham 2022 Creative City Grants Programme in partnership with Birmingham City Council.
They’re looking for community groups who will work with artists to fill this city with creative work as part of the Birmingham 2022 Cultural Programme. Thanks to the generous support of Birmingham City Council, they’re looking to fund up to 150 different projects, aiming to get at least one in every ward.
These creative projects can be any artform, but applications must be made by not-for-profit organisations based in Birmingham. By investing in this work they want to raise the profile of excellent quality work that is representative of Birmingham’s incredible diversity.
Benefits
They’d like to see your project delivering one or more of the following benefits to those involved:
- Be more physically active
- Learn new things
- Feel connected
- Discover talents
- Share creativity
- Explore where they live
- Celebrate youth
- Showcase real diversity
- Enhance Birmingham’s cultural capacity and reputation
- Embrace the moment of the Games
Funding Information
- Each grant will be up to £20,000 but they expect most awards to be around £10,000.

- d/Deaf, disability or neurodivergent communities
- Asian, Black and minority ethnic3 communities
- LGBTQI+ communities
- young leaders and participants aged 16-30
