The Community Foundation is seeking applications for The Appletree Fund to support community activities primarily in south- east Northumberland; west-end Newcastle and Alnwick.

Activities
The Foundation is keen to see applications for activities that:
- encourage social interaction and support people to re-socialize following Covid19 restrictions
- opportunities which enrich the experiences and raise aspiration in disadvantaged young people
- support to provide relief to those experiencing poverty and hardship (food poverty; debt advise; homelessness issues)
Preference to support a full project cost rather than a contribution to a larger project involving multiple contributors. Project must be ready to start on receipt of this funding.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Foundation is inviting application to The Appletree Fund which has a broad criterion of offering support to charitable organizations providing activities that relieve issues around social isolation; providing opportunities for disadvantaged young people to thrive, or addressing issues linked to poverty and hardship.
- Priority is given to organizations based in south-east Northumberland, Alnwick, or the west-end of Newcastle. Priority is given to activities taking place in south-east Northumberland; west-end Newcastle or Alnwick – this doesn’t exclude organizations based in other parts of Tyne & Wear or Northumberland from applying.
