Nominations are now open for the 2021 Heritage Prize which rewards actions to enhance the built and/or landscaped heritage, located on the French territory, with the aim of broadening access to and understanding of the heritage to as many people as possible, whether through mediation, animation, promotion, of diffusion or insertion.
Prize Details
- The endowment of the Prize, in the amount of 25,000 euros, must be part of the budget voted by the board of directors of the Stephane Bern Foundation for History and Heritage. It is entirely donated to the laureat.
Constitution of Candidature Files
The application file must include:
- a cover letter ;
- a candidate’s presentation sheet (two pages maximum);
- a presentation file for the action including (ten pages maximum – illustrations possible):
- a precise and concrete description of the action
- its objectives
- his budget
- an assessment of its achievement to date
They may possibly be supplemented by relevant documents in the appendix (mediation materials, etc.).
Criteria
- The laureat authorizes the organizers to: – communicate on (‘attribution of this Prize (mention its name, its action, reproduce its logo …) – distribute the photographs and films produced on the occasion of the award ceremony – for any promotional or public relations purpose – and without cola conferring on it any right to remuneration or any advantage whatsoever.
- The lauthat is authorized to communicate on obtaining the Prize. Communication actions will be submitted for validation to the communication service of the Institut de France. Failure to reply within eight (8) days constitutes acceptance. The name of the Stephane Bern Foundation for History and the Partimoine-Institut de France must, in any event, be fully mentioned.
- The photographs and videos may be exploited and used as part of the Foundation’s information and communication actions and as part of its promotion activities, to the various audiences, in all forms and all media known and unknown to date worldwide, without limitation of duration, in full or in extracts.
- The Foundation expressly refrains from using the images likely to harm the privacy or the reputation, dignity or integrity of the persons concerned.
Judging Criteria
- The jury, which the Foundation’s board of directors decided to create, is made up of nine members, including Mr. Stephane Bern, president. The other members are appointed by the board of directors. The list of members is annexed to these regulations and may be updated.
- The jury can only validly deliberate if a quorum of seven members is present or has given proxy, the powers being limited to each member present. The secretariat of the meeting is provided by the administrative services of the Institut de France.
