Entries are now open for the 6th round of Impact Awards 2022 to celebrate digital technology innovations that improve people’s lives around the world.
The awards are open to any person, business, government or non-profit creating or delivering digital products or services for positive social impact.
The Impact Awards are for organisation, products, services and initiatives leveraging tech for good for better outcomes for individuals, society or business, that can show measurable impact for the beneficiaries, users and challenge they are solving in the previous 12 months to the awards.
Categories
There are 12 awards categories organised into the themes of People, Society and Business, plus the Individual Impact Award.
- People Theme
- Digital Poverty: This award is for an organisation, service or initiative leveraging technology to support and promote inclusion and access to tech that has reduced under-represented groups and digital poverty.
- Education: This award is for an organisation, service or initiative leveraging technology to transform both teaching and learning in schools, colleges and universities.
- Employment & Skills: This award is for an organisation, service or initiative leveraging technology to change ways into work, work itself, or initiatives supporting skill training and access to talent.
- Mental Health & Wellbeing: This award is for an organisation, service or initiative leveraging technology to improve mental healthcare and wellbeing or raise awareness of it as an issue.
- Society Theme
- Tech for the Planet: This award is for an organisation, service or initiative leveraging technology to help people and organisations to manage and understand environmental change, or to live more sustainably.
- HealthTech: This award is for an organisation, service or initiative leveraging technology to drive up the adoption of health technologies and devices to benefit patient outcomes.
- Social Transformation: This award is for an organisation, service or initiative leveraging technology that make a positive social impact on society.
- Pandemic Innovation: This award is for an organisation, service or initiative leveraging technology which has had a positive impact on the lives of those affected by the pandemic.
- Business Theme
- Business Transformation: This award is for an organisation, service or initiative leveraging technology to help business to become more effective, happier and healthier places to work.
- Financial Inclusion: This award is for an organisation, service or initiative leveraging technology to make it easier for people to save and spend, which enhance access to and increase the quality of financial services.
- Social Enterprise: This award is for a business changing the world for the better.
- Net Zero: This award is for an organisation, service or initiative leveraging technology to decarbonise businesses towards the goal of net zero.
Eligibility Criteria
The Impact Awards are open to any UK-founded or operating organisation – whether in the business, non-profit or public sector – using a digital product or service to make the world a better place.
Criteria
- Entries to the Impact Awards are handled by Zealous.
- You will need to create an account with Zealous to begin your entry. This will allow you to save and revisit your submission, and submit to multiple categories.
- After some preliminary contact detail questions, the following questions ask you for details of the entry itself. Please note that these fields are the substance of your entry, and the judges will look at your submissions in these five fields when making their decision.
- Idea: The core proposition of your organisation/project/initiative
- Impact: What positive change is your organisation/project/initiative making? What evidence do you have to support this?
- Scalability: How do you plan to grow?
- People: What is your team like? Who is working on the organisation/project/initiative?
- Things they are looking for in your submission can include:
- Evidence and measurement of impact
- Outstanding achievements
- Industry recognition/wins
- Future plans and projections
- Details of your growth
- Strength and diversity
- Testimonials from clients
- Details of all entries are kept confidential, and are only shared with the judging committee.
