Deadline: 22-Feb-22
The Centers for Disease Control – CGH has announced a call for applications named “Advancing Sustainable Implementation of Comprehensive HIV Prevention and Treatment Programs in Faith-based and Private Sites in Nairobi, Coast and Western Regions in the Republic of Kenya under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)”.
This NOFO will support implementation of comprehensive, quality HIV prevention, and treatment programs in faith-based sites in: Eastern Deanery AIDS Relief Program-affiliated sites in the Eastern slums of Nairobi County; Coptic Hospital-affiliated sites in Nairobi and Vihiga Counties; and Bomu Hospital-affiliated sites in Mombasa, Kwale, and Kilifi Counties in Kenya.
The purpose of this NOFO is to continue acceleration of sustainable, high-quality comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment services, to achieve the 95-95-95 targets and HIV epidemic control, and transition to a sustainable service delivery model for the faith-based sites. These sites leverage the interaction with faith communities to provide services to difficult to reach populations mostly living in informal settlements, who may not get access through more traditional means, thereby contributing to a decrease in HIV incidence and reduction in HIV associated morbidity and mortality.
