Deadline: 15-Feb-22
Applications are now open for the Atlas Corps Virtual Leadership Institute for U.S. and Russian Professionals, an online learning community for global social impact leaders based on the established Atlas Corps Global Leadership Lab. Participants, known as Atlas Corps Scholars, enhance their professional skills, build their global networks, and prepare for leadership in their home communities.
The Atlas Corps Virtual Leadership Institute is implemented with partial support from the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, as part of a special initiative to build stronger ties between Russian and American citizens. The initiative will connect emerging Russian and American professionals to promote increased mutual understanding and collaboration during and after the program.
In addition to building connections with peers in Russia and the U.S., Scholars will also join the Atlas Corps network of 1100+ rising leaders from 110+ countries.
Format
- The Leadership Institute is organized into five online learning modules: Orientation, Developing Self, Developing Others, Leading Movements, and Reflection. This five-month online program includes keynote speakers, interactive workshops, self-led activities, discussion groups, and community-building activities with leading U.S. organizations and leaders. Scholars will also participate in activities and guided dialogue on topics such as cross-cultural dialogue; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and U.S. and Russian civil society.
- Scholars will also design and implement in-country Leadership Projects focused on their own professional development and/or on positive social impact on the community. Scholars will collaborate on Leadership Projects in peer coaching groups led by trained facilitators throughout the program. Scholars who successfully complete program requirements will be eligible to apply for small grants of up to $1000 to support the implementation of their Leadership Project, via their Community Impact Fund.
