The Auckland Council is pleased to launch a call for applications for the 2022 Manurewa Local Grant Programme to provide grants to local communities in order to help them achieve their aspirations.
Priorities
The Manurewa Local Board welcomes and will consider all grant applications and community initiatives. The Manurewa Local Board has the following local board priorities:
- strengthening neighbourhood cohesion
- support for youth development
- showcasing and celebrating Maori culture, stories and identity
- increasing the celebration of cultural diversity
- support and promotation of Maori success, innovation and enterprise
- strengthening whanau and tamariki well-being

- Sports and recreation

Grant value: $1000 +
Outcomes
The grants programme will be targeted towards supporting the following outcomes, as provided in the local board plan:
- The communities are inclusive, vibrant, healthy and connected
- They are proud of the strong Maori identity and thriving Maori community
- The people enjoy a choice of quality community spaces and use them often
- The safe and accessible network provides transport options to meet community needs
- The prosperous local economy supports local people
- The natural environment is valued, protected and enhanced
