The U.S. Embassy Yerevan Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) of the U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce an open competition for local think-tanks to submit project proposals aimed at policy development and/or independent research.
Purpose of Small Grants:
- PDS Yerevan invites proposals for projects from local think-tanks focusing on policy development and/or independent research. All projects must highlight shared values and include an American element, or connection with American expert(s), organization(s) or institution(s) in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy, culture, and perspectives.
Priority Program Areas:
- Policy Development – Developing policies in support of the government in areas of priority for the U.S. Mission in Armenia, such as transparent and accountable governance; independent, diverse and pluralistic media; entrepreneurship and investment; human rights; civic education; youth outreach, etc.
- Independent Research – Research and advocacy on policy and strategy in areas of priority for the U.S. Mission in Armenia, such as transparent and accountable governance; independent, diverse and pluralistic media; entrepreneurship; human rights; education; youth outreach, etc
Funding Information
- Length of performance period: Up to 12 months
- Number of awards anticipated: Up to 2 awards (depending on award budgets)
- Award amounts: The Public Diplomacy Section will consider proposals for up to $20,000.
- Type of Funding: Public Diplomacy Funding.
Note: The U.S. Embassy reserves the right to award less or more than the funds described in the absence of worthy applications or under such other circumstances as it may deem to be in the best interests of the U.S. government. This notice is subject to funds availability.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible Applicants U.S. Embassy Yerevan encourages applications from think-tanks, opinion-shapers, and individuals. For-profit or commercial entities are not eligible to apply.
