The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced the applications for Youth Influencer Program to Create Positive Social Media Narratives.
UNDP is looking for an agency to research and design, implement, monitor, and evaluate an events-based training programme in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines targeting online youth influencers. Online youth influencers are here defined as those between the ages of 18 to 30 who have established online presences through multiple channels and large followings on social media platforms such as Facebook and Tik Tok and are widely considered authorities among their follower bases.
Under the supervision of the UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub and the focal person from the social media platform, the bidder is expected to plan and implement this initiative in close collaboration with the UNDP Country Office in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Expected duration of the contract/assignment
This contract will be from 01 April 2022 to 31 December 2022.
Deliverables
- Deliverable 1: Development of strategy and programme design including identifying and establishing key partnerships with CSOs.
- Deliverable 2: Organize and implement an initial one-day, in-person induction into the programme
- Deliverable 3: Develop and implement a media training programme for the selected influencers
- Deliverable 4: Organize and implement the regional launch of the digital campaign event including knowledgesharing and the establishment of the community.
- Deliverable 5: Monitoring and Evaluation
- Deliverable 6: Communications and Visibility
Qualifications
- Completed at least 3 projects/contracts on coordinating and conducting in trainings/workshops/simiars/events worth as least US$20,000
- At least 2 years of previous experience on youth-targeted creative competitions, challenges and capacity-building training programme
- At least 2 years of experience working with tech companies such as Google or Tik Tok or others, on social media trainings
- At least 1 year of experience working with UN on projects of a similar nature
- Organization based in Asia is an advantage
- The Regional Coordinator identified should have:
- Master’s degree in politics, international relations, conflict, history, communications, or related subjects.
- Minimum 4 years of experience organising similar events
- Experience working with tech firms such as Google, Tik Tok, Facebook, or others
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Experience and skills in designing material to be used for campaigns
- Previous experience working with the UN and or other similar organizations
- The National Coordinator in The Philippines identified should have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience organising similar events
- Strong knowledge of NGO work in host country
- Experience working with tech firms such as Google, Tik Tok, Facebook or others
- Native language skills in Filipino and excellent communication skills in English
- Experience and skills in designing material to be used for campaigns
- The National Coordinator in the Indonesia identified should have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience organising similar events
- Strong knowledge of NGO work in host country
- Experience working with tech firms such as Google, Tik Tok, Facebook or others
- Native language skills in Bahasa and excellent communication skills in English
- Experience and skills in designing material to be used for campaigns
- The National Coordinator in Malaysia identified should have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience organising similar events
- Strong knowledge of NGO work in host country
- Experience working with tech firms such as Google, Tik Tok, Facebook or others
- Native language skills in Malay and excellent communication skills in English
- Experience and skills in designing material to be used for campaigns
- The National Coordinator in Thailand identified should have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience organising similar events
- Strong knowledge of NGO work in host country
- Experience working with tech firms such as Google, Tik Tok, Facebook or others
- Native language skills in Thai and excellent communication skills in English
- Experience and skills in designing material to be used for campaigns
Criteria
- Technical Proposal (70%)
- Expertise of the Firm – 30%
- Methodology, Its Appropriateness to the Condition and Timeliness of the Implementation Plan – 40%
- Management Structure and Qualification of Key Personnel – 30%
- Financial Proposal (30%)
- To be computed as a ratio of the Proposal’s offer to the lowest price among the proposals received by UNDP.
