Public Call for CSOs/NGOs in Bosnia And Herzegovina

The Ugljevik Municipality in Partnership with the United Nations Development Program has announced the public invitation to civil society organizations / non-governmental organizations for submission of project proposals under the project regional program of local democracy in the western balkans (reload).

Goals
  • The overall goal of the project is to strengthen participatory democracy and EU integration in the Western Balkans, by strengthening civil society and encouraging young people to actively participate in the decision-making process, and improving a supportive legal and financial environment for civil society.
  • The overall goal of this call is to further strengthen the partnership between civil society organizations and local self-government by building awareness of the benefits of mutual cooperation and encouraging sustainable dialogue, all with the aim of providing better services to the local community.
Objectives

The specific objective of the project is to strengthen partnerships between local authorities and civil society in the Western Balkans, by spreading a successful model of transparent project financing of CSOs (LOD methodology) from local government budgets, aimed at greater civic participation and youth participation in decision-making and service delivery in local communities.

Thematic Areas

This is an opportunity to invite all civil society organizations (CSOs) from Bosnia and Herzegovina to submit project proposals related to development goals and strategic documents of the Municipality of Ugljevik , in the following priority areas:

  • Young
    • Support for the improvement of the position of young people – through the organization of trainings / workshops for their social and economic inclusion
    • Development of new contents for better spending of free time (cultural, sports, entertainment and other contents for young people)
  • Culture
    • Promotion of culture and art, intangible cultural heritage and artistic creation for children and youth
    • Inclusion of persons with disabilities in various cultural and artistic contents
  • Education
    • Support for children with disabilities in developing and mastering teaching content
    • Projects that contribute to improving the quality of life of socially excluded categories of the population through the acquisition of knowledge and skills
    • Environmental protection and rural development
    • Projects that contribute to the preservation of the environment
    • Projects that contribute to strengthening the role and activism of young people in rural areas
  • Sports
    • Promotion, popularization and popularization of amateur sports
    • Inclusion of persons with disabilities through sports and recreational facilities
Funding Information
  • The value of the project proposals to be awarded under this call must be between the following minimum and maximum amount:
    • minimum amount: 10,000.00 KM
    • maximum amount: 70,000.00 KM
  • One civil society organization may submit several project proposals within one or more public calls, with the maximum amount of funds that can be allocated for project implementation to one civil society organization during the total duration of the ReLOaD2 project 120,000.00 KM.
  • The grant awarded under this call may finance administrative costs (human resources, travel / transport and office expenses) up to a maximum of 30% of the total budget. The amount of funds requested for the purchase of equipment and reconstruction may not exceed 30% of the total budget.

Duration: The duration of the project can be from 5 (five) to 10 (ten) months, in the period from May 2022 to February 2023.

Location: Projects must be implemented exclusively in the Municipality of Ugljevik and for the residents of the Municipality of Ugljevik. In exceptional cases, it is allowed to carry out certain activities on the territory of another local government if there are objective reasons for that, which are stated in the project proposal.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Participation in this public call is open, on an equal basis, to all formally registered CSOs (associations or foundations), in accordance with the applicable legislation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • To apply for the public call, applicants must:
    • be formally registered CSOs in accordance with applicable legislation (association);
    • Potential applicants cannot participate in the call or receive grants if they do not submit a signed and scanned eligibility statement with the project proposal.
  • This public call is not open to branches of foreign and international associations, foundations and other non-profit organizations registered and operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
