Do you want to work with passionate young social entrepreneurs? Are you happy to have the opportunity to support young innovators with your knowledge, experience and expertise so that they can put their ideas into practice and further develop their social businesses? If yes, then apply for a mentor of the Social Change Award (SIA).

The Mozaik Foundation, in cooperation with Sparkasse Bank and other partners, is implementing the Social Impact Award (SIA) 2022 in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Social Impact Award is not just an award, but an educational program for young people that can help them start their own social business.

Award Details

The Social Impact Award BiH will award 4 prizes . Each of the awards consists of: up to 2,000 KM for testing an idea, mentoring program, going to Vienna for the international SIA Summit (for one member, a member of the winning team held from 15 to 19 November 2022).

What is the minimum obligation they are looking for?

A total of 8-10 hours of mentoring of one of the finalists in the period from July 15 to the end of September. Their recommendation is to hold personal meetings, especially at the beginning. In the case of geographical distances, it is possible to organize virtual meetings via video calls, e-mail, telephone, etc.

What are they looking for?

They are looking for individuals or organizations that:

They want and can apply their expertise in supporting social entrepreneurs and their innovative ventures at an early stage;
They have a sincere interest and experience in supporting and developing entrepreneurs;
They have knowledge and expertise on certain topics important for building a successful (social) business.

What are the benefits for a mentor?

They believe that the experience of mentoring is equally satisfactory on a private and professional level. The main reasons why mentors join them are that:

get inspired by working on developing new ideas and businesses
acquire new skills (coaching, moderation, intrapreneurship, innovation process, etc.)
approaches to regional and global events
discover new opportunities for partnerships, investment or other business relationships
support future entrepreneurs in facing the real challenges that will stand in their way
become members of a special database of mentor innovators

Conditions for Application

Applicants for the Social Impact Award 2022 must meet the following requirements:

Individuals: Each person applying must be between 17 and 30 years old
Teams: Each team member must be between 17 and 30 years old. When applying for a team, one person must be the holder of the application.
The program is open to all ideas that have not yet been implemented, ie are in the early stages of development. If your idea is funded by any organization, fund or individual in excess of € 3,000 before January 1, 2021, they will not be able to apply for the Social Impact Award 2022.
Projects applied in the previous year (except for the winners), can be applied this year as well if they meet all other conditions.
The selection for the prize will include applications that will be applied through their website. Applications submitted before and after the application period will not be considered.
The winners of the Social Impact Award 2022 are obliged to intensively develop their idea, participate in the mentoring program and report to the Social Impact Award team on the progress of the idea development.
