The Social Impact Award (SIA) is inviting nominations to raise awareness of social entrepreneurship among young people, as well as support social entrepreneurs through a series of events and workshops, especially in the early stages of development and implementation of innovative business solutions to solve the most important social problems.
The Social Impact Award (SIA) provides financial and mentoring support, with a special focus on finding ways for all challenging processes that will enable socially sustainable solutions to community problems.
The Social Impact Award (SIA) is the largest international project on social entrepreneurship, dedicated to young people, launched in 2009 by the Impact Hub Vienna, in partnership with the Erste Foundation and the University of Economics and Business in Vienna. The project is being implemented simultaneously on 3 continents (Europe, Africa, Asia) and in 19 countries, where it brings together more than 12,000 young innovators annually, who as a result generate the establishment of more than 230 social enterprises per year.
Focus Areas
- Awareness: They are creating awareness among young people about social entrepreneurship as a potential career choice.
- Education: They provide the right-wingers with the necessary gates, skills and mindsets to discover their potential as a social innovator.

The international event in November will bring together the winners and national coordinators of the SIA Program across 3 continents, and this event will enable international networking of young people, transfer of experiences and knowledge and develop opportunities for additional support.

It consists of a set of educational and inspirational formats designed to raise awareness of social entrepreneurship and support participants to develop influential ideas, which take place between the Kick Off and the announcement of the finalists.
- The incubation phase is the second phase of the SIA program. It is designed to confirm the influence of the finalists’ ideas, connect them with colleagues and help them gain their first followers, from the announcement of the finalists to the award ceremony.
- The awards phase is the third and final phase of the SIA program. It focuses on announcing, promoting and connecting winning teams nationally and internationally, from the Awards Ceremony to the SIA Summit.

The program is intended for young people aged 15 to 30, who can apply as individuals or as part of a team (up to 5 people), who want to start a social enterprise, or have an idea to solve various problems in the local community or national level.
