Nominations are now open for The National Diversity Awards 2022, a prestigious diversity event that celebrates the excellent achievements of grass-root communities that tackle the issues in today’s society, giving them recognition for their dedication and hard work.
Award Categories
- Positive Role Model Award: The importance of having a role model can never be underestimated; role models help them to be driven, to focus, to achieve goals and strive to gain success. The positive role model award recognises an individual within the community who shows selflessness, drives change and works tirelessly to inspire others.
- Community Organisation Award: This award applauds groups, charities and voluntary organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to their local community, or nationwide, with diversity as their core focus.
- Entrepreneur of Excellence Award: The Entrepreneur of Excellence Award recognises individuals who have created a viable business, showcasing entrepreneurship and innovation.
- Diverse Company Award: Sponsor – MI5, MI6 & GCHQ: The Diverse Company Award identifies a large organisation that is showing great strides in incorporating diversity and inclusion across their business.
- Lifetime Achiever Award: This prestigious award honours an individual who has made significant, innovative and cumulatively outstanding contributions to enhancing the practice of equality and diversity, devoting a major portion of their life to their cause.
- Celebrity of the Year Award: A celebrity that has a passion for diversity & enhancement for inclusion, using their platform to highlight a specific issue/cause and influencing positive change across the UK.
Eligibility Criteria
- Charities, role models and community heroes will be honoured at the 2022 ceremony showcasing their outstanding devotion to enhancing equality, diversity and inclusion; thus embracing the excellence of all our citizens irrespective of race, faith, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability and culture.
- The concept for the National Diversity Awards arose when The Diversity Group identified an urgent need for more positive role models to be actively promoted, with the aim to empower and inspire the wide breadth of diverse communities across the UK.
