Do you have a project which makes Ireland safer for the LGBTQ+ community? Do you work for an organisation which promotes LGBTQ+ visibility? Do you help provide services to vulnerable members of the community? The Certified Proud Fund is now accepting applications for the 2022 grant round.
The Fund aim to create a collective of safe spaces so that members of the LGBTQ+ community can live a life free from discrimination and unease. Proud removes the unknown so you can travel, work and live with confidence.
The fund will provide support to charities, non-profit organisations and other projects with the intention of increasing the social impact the network creates.
Funding Information
- Applications can apply for funding between €500 – €5,000.
- All costs associated with an applying project can be funded (wages,utilities etc.)
Funding Principles
- Projects which promote of LGBTQ+ rights, equality and inclusivity will be considered for funding
- Funds must be spent within 12 months of being granted
- Each grantee must provide an impact report once funds are spent
- Successful applicants must be willing to take part in promotional activities relating to their grant.

- Equality: To create professional environments where treatment of all staff and customers is the same, ensuring everyone is given equal opportunity.
- Inclusivity: To offer both customers and staff a positive environment which actively embraces difference, emphasises dignity and rejects stigma.
- Advocacy: To contribute to the complete elimination of societal inequality and proactively promote equal rights for LGBTQ+ individuals.
- Commitment: To appreciate that being Certified Proud means time, dedication, understanding and responsibility to the LGBTQ+ community, all year round.
- Safety: To encourage accountability and responsibility throughout the workplace to ensure the safety of all LGBTQ+ staff and customers.
- Visibility: To increase positive representation of LGBTQ+ people in public life, to highlight issues affecting the community and give a voice to the marginalised in businesses across Ireland.
