Deadline: 27-Jun-22
The International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) launches the 3rd edition of the Fund “La Francophonie avec Elles” in favor of the empowerment of women in the French-speaking world.
Goals
- Launched in July 2020 at the request of the Secretary General, the “La Francophonie avec Elles” Fund is a solidarity mechanism aimed at giving women and girls the means to recover with dignity from the crises they face and to be equipped to face the following.
- The first edition of this solidarity mechanism made it possible to finance actions in the field aimed at vulnerable women in the French-speaking world: in 2020, 59 projects carried out by civil society organizations covering 20 French-speaking countries benefited more than 14 000 women and girls. In 2021, a second edition supported 84 projects implemented in 26 countries in the French-speaking world.
- Because the needs remain significant in this post-health crisis context, this new call for projects will strengthen and amplify the action of La Francophonie in favor of the economic and social empowerment of vulnerable women and girls – especially those who find themselves at the intersection of several forms of discrimination – and to support the actions they undertake in favor of sustainable development.
