UN Women has launched a call for proposals from civil society organizations for the production of an analysis of the legal frameworks relating to the protection of women’s rights, in particular the fight against violence against them, and to carry out advocacy actions for the harmonization of national legislation with Morocco’s international commitments.
UN Women supports the efforts of civil society organizations in advocacy at the national and international level for the harmonization and reform of national legislation in accordance with Morocco’s international commitments.
Courses of intervention
- Production and dissemination of knowledge and technical advocacy tools for the protection of women’s rights, especially women victims of violence
- Production of a study on criminal legislation and discrimination based on gender
Funding Information
- The budget range for this proposal should be between 100,000 and 150,000 Moroccan dirhams.
- Duration: It is proposed to start the interventions no later than August 2022 on the basis of an implementation plan to be carried out over a maximum period of six months (no later than February 28, 2023).
Eligibility Criteria
- Technical/ Functional Skills Required:
- The implementing partner should demonstrate the following skills:
- Mastery of results-based management;
- Application of the gender and human rights approach;
- Legal monitoring and analysis and public policies in the field of the fight against violence against women and girls;
- Advocacy and communication;
- The production and dissemination of memoranda and other analysis documents;
- A good knowledge and analysis of the national context, actors and issues.
- The implementing partner should demonstrate the following skills:
- Other skills, which, although not required, may be an asset to the proposal :
- Demonstrate synergies with other Moroccan civil society initiatives in the field
- Capacity building and awareness in the field of the fight against violence against women and girls
- community mobilization
- UN Women invites eligible organizations to submit a technical and financial proposal responding to the interventions required according to the expectations expressed by UN Women vis-à-vis the CSO.
- UN Women invites proposals from civil society organizations (CSOs). Women’s organizations or entities are strongly encouraged to apply.
