The Capital Development Board (CDB) is utilizing Amplifund to submit and review applications for its Early Childhood Construction Grants.
Funding Information
- Total Program Funding: $60,000,000.00
- Award Ceiling: $10,000,000.00
Eligible Projects
Funds are available to construct, renovate or otherwise improve facilities, for example by:
- Constructing an addition to an existing building
- New construction of a facility or renovations to an existing facility to create a new early childhood center
- Acquisition of a facility
- Purchase or replacement of equipment that meets bondability guidelines
- Safety improvements
- Classroom conversions

Eligible applicants for Early Childhood Construction grants include any public school district or private not-for-profit entity with experience in providing educational health, social and/or child development services to young children and their families. A broad range of eligible providers may apply for these grants, including:
- Public School Districts;
- Preschool for All programs:
- Licensed private nonprofit childcare centers; and
- Licensed-exempted private nonprofit childcare centers.
- No grants may be awarded to entities providing services within private residences.
