Deadline: 31-Aug-22
The Horowhenua District Council has announced the applications for Rural Halls Grant.
The Rural Halls Grant was established in 1989 specifically for the purpose of financially supporting ten Horowhenua (County) Rural Hall Societies with maintenance for the halls they manage. The nine original hall societies remaining today are the top priority for funding from this grant and are referred to as Tier One applications.
How much can you apply for?
- Each grant awards a different amount annually. Within the criteria for each grant they have listed the total amount available annually, and a guide for the typical size of grant that each individual application may be considered for.
- Please contemplate the likely funding margins when making your application. While the subcommittee of Council does have the authority to make exceptions to the criteria, this very rarely occurs.
Criteria
Other non-profit groups that maintain community halls for public use where there is no Rural Hall within a reasonable distance may also be eligible for a Rural Halls Grant (e.g. Waitārere Beach and Foxton Beach).
