The City of Melbourne is seeking applications for its Arts and Creative Investment Partnerships (ACIP) Program to prompt new ideas, connections and thinking to test, develop and realise artistic ambition.
ACIP funds organisations representing diverse artforms to create and present exceptional and innovative work that engages audiences and develops markets nationally and internationally.
Arts and Creative Investment Partnerships (ACIP) provides two and four-year funding for medium to large arts and creative organisations, up to $100,000 and $350,000 respectively.
Priorities
- The priority of the framework is to support artists and arts organisations across all art forms and practices to test, develop and realise ideas which:
- Build the city profile as a place for experimentation, expression, and excellence
- Emerge through collaborative projects and partnerships
- Ensure accessible creative activity for Melburnians
- Contribute to Aboriginal artistic, cultural, and heritage outcomes.
Funding Information
- 2 year partnership 2023-2024: $30,000 to $100,000 each year.
Activities
- The City of Melbourne is specifically seeking compelling ideas which reimagine existing programs and activities or propose new works that may:
- Engage or are produced by Aboriginal artists
- Reach new and diverse audiences, increasing accessibility to the arts
- Are bold and ambitious, encompassing new ideas, thinking, and connections
- Include a diverse range of artists, and build the capability of emerging artists
- Be developed through collaboration and partnerships.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must:
- Propose outcomes for 2023 and concepts for 2024
- Propose arts-related activities that have public outcomes located within the City of Melbourne municipality4 during the term of the partnership
- Propose activities that attract audiences to the City of Melbourne
- Submit only one application
- Have no outstanding acquittals or debts to the City of Melbourne
- Have a registered Australian Business Number (ABN)
- Have documented evidence of an appropriate legal structure: an Australian registered company, business cooperative, or a partnership
- Provide evidence of current public liability and professional indemnity insurance policies
- Must be a not-for-profit organisation and Council may seek further details on this standing.
