Applications are now open for Flood impacted residents to apply for a round -2 Lismore Council Flood Appeal Grant.
The Lismore City Council Flood Appeal was set up in the immediate aftermath of the flood disasters in February and March, in order to raise funds to support the Lismore community in its recovery from these devastating events.
Funding Information
- The Lismore City Council Flood Appeal raised about $1.6 million. Under Round One, $1 million was distributed with each eligible resident receiving a $650 grant.
- The remaining funds will be equally split between Round 2 applicants, up to $650. If any funds are remaining they will be equally distributed across eligible residents from both rounds.
Who is Eligible?
- Applications are only open to residents of Lismore LGA
- Residents who occupied a personal residence in the flood inundation zone and suffered property damage as a result of flood during the February natural disaster
- Only one application is permitted per residence.
- Residents who did not receive a confirmation email in Round One.
What supporting documentation do you need to apply?

Proof of residence (for flood affected address)
- Driver License
- Electricity Bill (including February 2022 period)
- Lease or letter from Licensed Real Estate confirmed occupancy at flood affected address during February natural disaster.

Additional supporting documentation:
- A letter confirming applicant received the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment, Service NSW Back to Home Grant or insurance payment.
- If you do not have any of the above, you may provide photographic evidence and Council will undertake an internal review.
