The City of Holdfast Bay is seeking applications for its Youth Achievement Sponsorship 2022-2023 to recognize and encourage the achievements of young people in the community.
The program aims to assist local young people to participate in all aspects of community life, enable them to reach their potential and to make significant contributions to the local and broader community.
Categories
The City of Holdfast Bay provides sponsorship for young people 21 years and under, who have been selected to represent South Australia or Australia in their chosen sport, art or cultural activity in the following categories:
- Sport and Recreation
- Arts and Culture
- Education and Academic Performance
Funding Categories
- $125- State representation in a specific cultural, sporting or recreational event or competition.
- $250- National representation in a specific cultural, sporting or recreational event or competition.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for sponsorship, applicants need to:
- Be a resident of the City of Holdfast Bay;
- Be aged 21 or under at the time of the event/competition;
- Be representing South Australia or Australia at a National or International event/ competition;
- Provide a letter of selection from the peak body or the association running the event/ competition advising that you have been chosen to compete/exhibit/perform;
- Submit an application at least two weeks (and no more than two months) prior to the event date;
- Not be undertaking an activity that may result in earning an income;
- Have not received sponsorship from Council in the current financial year, unless the competition resulted in selection at a higher level e.g. State to National representation.
