The Corangamite Shire is inviting nominations for Australia Day Awards.
The Australia Day Awards are an opportunity for these people and/or community organisations to be recognised for their contribution.
Categories
- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Community Event of the Year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Council is calling for residents to nominate community members and groups for the 2023 Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Event of the Year.
Criteria
- Citizen of the Year is awarded to a Shire resident aged over 25 as at 26 January 2023, who has achieved the most distinguished performance and/or made the most outstanding contribution to the Shire community in the current year or over a number of years.
- Young Citizen of the Year is awarded to a Shire resident aged under 25 as at 26 January 2023 who has achieved the most distinguished performance and/or made the most outstanding contribution to the Shire community in the current year or over a number of years.
- Community Event of the Year is presented to the person/group based in the Corangamite Shire who has staged the most outstanding Community Event during the year.
