NIFTEM Start-up Incubation Program for Food-Agri Startups in India

Niftem Technology Innovation and Business Incubation Foundation [NTIBIF] offers opportunities to aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators, Startups in the Food-Agri sector to develop their products and scale up their business.

Objective

The objective is to foster a convergent innovation ecosystem that supports Food-Agri based Startups to succeed while benefitting the different stakeholders including consumers, farmers, industry experts, and investors.

Program Structure

  • NIFTEM Startup Incubation Program (N-SIP) offers a great opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators to transform their unique ideas into successful business ventures. The program aims to provide world-class Business Incubation and Accelerator facilities to host and nurture Startups while facilitating the commercialization of Food-Agri & allied sector technologies developed by various research institutes.
    • Phase – I: Residency Workshop
      • A two-week intensive workshop will be conducted where the selected Startups will gain insights on the fundamental aspects critical for product development and bus iness. It would include on-campus mentoring by industry experts, classroom sessions by technical & business experts, product designing workshops, market connect or networking, and Valuation & Fund Raising. The progress will be monitored by an expert committee to shortlist Startups for phase II.
    • Phase – II: Incubation & Funding Support
      • It is an extremely focused ‘high-growth’ phase where the selected Startups may get seed grand support, with access to high-tech research labs, dedicated industry mentors, scientists, and professionals. The Startups will also be connected to a deep network of investors including angel investors and venture capitalists.

  • N-SIP is a uniquely designed program for Food-Agri Startups, with state-of-the-art facilities to help transform your business ideas into successful entrepreneurial opportunities.
    • Seed Grant & Investor Connect : Eligible Startups may get seed funding & offered an opportunity for investor connect support. It will provide a boost to meet preliminary expenses & much-needed support for the Startup owner.
    • 2 Weeks Workshop : An intensive 2-weeks workshop will be held to ensure the right product-market fit, a strong team, business connections, and the right foundation for a sustainable business.
    • Focussed Mentorship : Mentorship support will be provided for every Startup. The mentors will include dedicated experts and research professionals.
    • High Tech Lab & Research Support : Access to NIFTEM’s World-Class Research Labs will be provided to Startups that Qualify for Phase 2.
    • Direct Market Connections : Market linkages through Internal and external initiatives will be provided. Startups will also have showcase opportunities across partner events & activities.
    • Office In frastructure Support : The selected Startups will be given office infrastructure support in the NIFTEM Campus for the entire duration of the programme.
