Deadline: 06-Aug-2025
The World Food Programme (WFP) Zimbabwe Country Office is issuing a second call for Expressions of Interest from registered and experienced non-governmental organizations (NGOs). These NGOs will be considered as stand-by partners on a roster for the potential implementation of the Urban Social Assistance (USA) programme across 47 urban areas in Zimbabwe.
The programme focuses on key sectors related to food security. These include cash assistance, direct food assistance, and general nutrition support.
The geographic focus spans several provinces and cities in Zimbabwe. These include Harare, Mashonaland West, Midlands, Masvingo, Manicaland, Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South, and Mashonaland Central.
NGOs expressing interest are expected to submit certain documentation. This includes a copy of their registration certificate, along with relevant policies or guidelines. These should cover areas such as the prevention of sexual abuse and exploitation, gender and youth, protection, and nutrition integration.
Selection will be based on several criteria. These include the organization’s local presence and experience, their capacity to contribute resources, and demonstrated sector expertise and experience.
