Deadline: 08-Oct-2025
Applications are now open for small grants to support youth-led initiatives aimed at transforming food systems in Bangladesh.
This opportunity is part of the Food Systems Youth Leadership initiative under the Nourishing Food Pathways (NFP) programme, led by the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN). The initiative seeks to empower young people to take a leading role in building healthier, more sustainable, and climate-resilient food systems.
The grants will provide funding of between BDT 30,000 and BDT 50,000 for short-term projects that can be implemented within two to three months. Eligible proposals may focus on a wide range of themes, including promoting healthy diets and nutrition, advancing climate-smart agriculture, raising awareness and advocating for food systems transformation, conducting youth-led action research on food and nutrition, or developing innovative digital campaigns and community-based solutions.
To qualify, the majority of the project team members must be between 18 and 25 years old. Youth-led organizations, networks, collectives, university clubs, and research groups from any district of Bangladesh are welcome to apply. Both formal and informal groups are eligible, but each organization may submit only one proposal.
Through this initiative, GAIN aims to strengthen youth engagement in food systems and highlight the creativity and leadership of young people in shaping sustainable solutions for the future of nutrition and agriculture in Bangladesh.
