The Spotlight on Mental Health is seeking applications for its CIF Art Grant Program to provide an opportunity for artists to purchase art supplies.
This $85 grant is offered 4 times per year. Eligibility for this opportunity requires meeting the following four criteria: Adult (18+) with lived/living experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges, Resident of the City of Vancouver, have a specific art project in mind, have not received this grant within the last 2 years.
All applications submitted for the grant are carefully reviewed. From the pool of qualified applicants, individuals are randomly selected in a draw, which takes place the week after the deadline. Every applicant is notified of the outcome either by email or phone, ensuring transparency in the selection process.
To apply, individuals can choose one of two options. The first option is to download the CIF Art Grant Application Form, save it to their computer, and complete it digitally. The second option allows applicants to print the form and fill it in by hand, providing flexibility to meet different needs.
This grant represents a meaningful opportunity for Vancouver residents to bring their art projects to life while receiving support tailored to those with lived experiences of mental health or substance use challenges. The deadline for application is 19 September 2025.
