Deadline: 15-Oct-2025
The Jerwood Foundation offers a valuable opportunity for organisations in the UK that are dedicated to advancing excellence and nurturing emerging talent in the arts.
With a strong emphasis on projects that create public benefit, the Foundation encourages applications from groups working to make art more widely accessible while also engaging with its collection.
Funding from the Jerwood Foundation is aimed at organisations rather than individuals. The Foundation does not provide support for educational courses, core organisational costs, or capital endowments. Instead, it seeks proposals that deliver clear cultural value, enhance artistic practice, and have a tangible impact on audiences and communities.
Applications must be concise and focused, with a maximum length of ten sides of A4. Each submission should begin with a covering letter summarising the project, the requested grant amount, and the proposed payment date. Applicants are expected to include a short description of the project, a start date and timeline, and details of both direct beneficiaries and projected audience reach.
In addition to the project outline, organisations should provide a budget and a fundraising plan to show how the initiative will be supported. A copy of the latest audited accounts must also be included. For smaller charities not required to produce audited accounts, a detailed annual budget outlining income and expenditure may be submitted instead.
Applications can be sent either by email or by post, and every submission is formally acknowledged once received. The Foundation carefully considers all proposals, though it cannot accept amendments or additional information after submission. While individual feedback cannot be provided, each application receives thorough review, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to supporting innovative, high-quality projects that contribute meaningfully to the arts in the UK.
