Deadline: 15-Sep-2025
The Arts Whau is a funding initiative from the Whau Local Board designed to support community-led arts projects within the Whau area.
Applicants can request funding for projects in any artistic form. This includes music, writing, visual arts, games, theatre, digital work, workshops, poetry, dance, film, food-based art, or even walking projects. The key requirements are that the project meaningfully involves the local community or addresses local themes, is led by someone with strong local ties, has a strong creative concept, and takes place in the Whau Local Board area between November 2024 and July 2025.
Projects can be held anywhere within the Whau Local Board area in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), which includes New Lynn, Green Bay, Kelston, Rosebank, Waterview, Avondale, New Windsor, Glenavon, and Blockhouse Bay.
Eligible applicants include individual artists, community groups, art collectives, and organisations. Priority is given to projects that demonstrate a significant positive impact on the local community.
