Deadline: 15-Sep-2025
The Manitoba Arts Council (MAC) is accepting applications for the Share – Artists in Communities Grant 2025, a program designed to support arts-related activities for underserved applicants and communities facing barriers to accessing artistic opportunities.
The focus of the grant includes: creation, production, public presentations such as performances, exhibitions, juried art shows, concerts, and readings, publication, community art projects involving artists, artistic workshops, classes, and knowledge sharing opportunities, as well as arts-related gatherings.
The program provides flexible funding options with three levels of support. Individual applicants can access micro-grants of $1,000, while both individuals and groups may apply for small-scale grants of up to $7,500. Large-scale grants of up to $15,000 are also available, requiring applicants to demonstrate matching revenue from other sources equal to or greater than the amount requested from MAC.
Eligibility extends to professional artists, arts and cultural professionals, Indigenous Knowledge Keepers, professional arts groups, professional arts organizations, and community non-profit organizations. Ineligible applicants include organizations already funded under MAC’s Support – Operate or Support – Community Impact grants, as well as organizations directly or indirectly receiving ongoing funding from the Department of Sport, Culture, Heritage, and Tourism.
Applications are evaluated on impact and inclusion, project quality, and feasibility. For applicants who are D/deaf or living with a disability, additional funding can be requested for accessibility supports and services.
